How to set your market so AI content is local

Your market is the city and state you work in, plus the clients and homes you usually sell. Agentr.ee's AI tools use it to write local posts, fill in your city on designs and pick local scenes. Set it once in Settings, and it's used across AI Studio and your content.

Before you start

You need:

  • The cities you work in. You need at least one and can add up to 10.
  • Your state (or province, if you work in Canada).
  • Optional: neighborhoods, your county, postal codes, your ideal clients, the property types you sell and your usual price range.

Setting your market is free on every plan. It doesn't use any credits.

How to set your market

  1. In the sidebar, click Settings, then open the Audience tab. You can also go to agentr.ee/workspace/settings/audience.
  2. Under Location information, choose your Country and your State.
  3. In Cities, type a city and click Add. Repeat for each city, one by one.
  4. Add Neighborhoods, Counties or postal codes the same way, if you want to.
  5. Under Client types, pick your ideal clients, such as First-time buyers or Investors.
  6. Pick your Property types and Price range.
  7. Click Save. You'll see "Settings saved."

Your first city and your state become your market, for example "Austin, TX". If you have no city here, some tools use the City from your Business Profile instead.

Which tools use your market

  • Viral images: some formats put your city into the image. Without a market, the generate button is replaced by Set your market, with the note "Set your market to use this format". You aren't charged. The button takes you to the Audience tab.
  • AI Studio composer: saved prompts that use your city show "needs your market" until it's set. Running one shows "Set your market to use this prompt." with a Set your market link.
  • Carousels: the writing uses your cities, client types, property types and price range. Scene photos are set in your city. When you Auto customize a post about a city, the Your market step shows your saved cities as choices.
  • Post generator: your cities, neighborhoods and client types appear as City, Neighborhood and Primary audience choices. With no city saved, you see "Add your market area to get local content." and a Set your market area link. You need to pick a city to generate posts, so set your market first.
  • Social comment generator: Location (Optional) lists your saved places. It shows the same nudge if none are saved, but you can still generate without one.
  • Reel script writer: uses your market from your profile. It never asks.

Tips for better results

  • Put your main city first. Tools that use one city usually take the first one.
  • Add neighborhoods you want posts about. They show up as choices in the Post generator.
  • Pick client types that match who you really serve. They shape carousel writing and your post choices.
  • Listing description and Caption writer have their own audience choices on each run. Pick them there.

Common questions

Why does Viral images say "Set your market"?

That format puts your city into the image, and you haven't added one yet. Add a city in Settings, Audience, save, then go back to the format.

Can I work in more than one city?

Yes. Add up to 10 cities. When you Auto customize a carousel about a city, you can pick which one, or choose + Other city and type another.

Do my market settings change my listing descriptions?

No. Listing description uses the facts of the property. You choose the audience for each description in the tool.
