AI Studio runs on credits. Each tool shows its price before you run it, and credits are only taken when you start a run. This article explains what each tool costs on the Free and Pro plans, when credits come back, and which of your credits get spent first.
Before you start
You can see your balance in three places:
- Subscription & billing: open your user menu and choose Subscription & billing. The AI Studio credits panel shows how many credits you have available.
- AI Studio (Free plan only): your balance shows at the top of agentr.ee/workspace/studio.
- Each tool page (Free plan only): the header shows how many credits you have left, next to an Add credits link.
Where your credits come from:
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Welcome credits for a new account | 30, once | 30, once |
| Monthly allowance | None | 1,000 credits a month |
| Credit packs you buy | 300, 600 or 1,000 credits | 300, 600 or 1,000 credits |
What each tool costs
Writing tools cost 1 credit on Free and nothing on Pro. Image and video tools cost the same on both plans.
| Tool | Free | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Caption writer, Reel script writer, Listing description, Email writer, Objection handler, Script personalizer | 1 credit per run | 0 credits |
| Post generator | 1 credit per batch of 10 posts | 0 credits |
| Social comment generator | 1 credit per set of ideas | 0 credits |
| Carousels: slides and caption | 1 credit per carousel | 0 credits |
| Carousels: each new photo | 12 credits | 12 credits |
| Create avatar | 15 credits | 15 credits |
| Photo studio | 15 credits | 15 credits |
| Background changer | 15 credits | 15 credits |
| Viral images | 12 credits | 12 credits |
| Photoshoot | 12 credits per photo | 12 credits per photo |
| Enhance listing images | 12 credits per image, or 15 with Enlarge to ~2K | 12 credits per image, or 15 with Enlarge to ~2K |
| Virtual staging | 20 credits | 20 credits |
| Listing walkthrough | 8 credits per second of video, plus 1 credit per photo (at least 5) | Same as Free |
| Viral formats | Priced per second of video; each format shows its price | Same as Free |
| Agent speaking | 2 credits per second of voiceover, plus 35 credits per second of video | Same as Free |
| Composer | Shown on the Generate button | Same as Free |
A few examples:
- A 5-photo Photoshoot costs 60 credits. Ten photos cost 120.
- A 4-shot Listing walkthrough costs 109 credits. The opening shot runs 4 seconds, and every other shot runs 3 seconds. The Orbit (hero shot) camera move adds 8 credits.
- A carousel with 7 new photos costs 85 credits on Free and 84 on Pro. Using a photoshoot you already saved makes the photos free.
On Pro, the writing tools don't touch your monthly allowance.
How to check what a run will cost
- Open the tool from AI Studio.
- Look at the price at the top of the page, for example 15 credits per use. Video tools show Varies, because the price depends on what you make.
- Set up your run. For tools priced per photo or per second, the total updates as you choose.
- Check the total on the button or the summary line before you click, for example Make the video · 109 credits or 5 photos · 60 credits.
- Click the button to start. Your credits are reserved at that moment.
When credits are taken
Credits are reserved when you start a run, not when it finishes. If you don't have enough for the whole run, nothing starts and nothing is charged. Depending on the tool, you'll see how many credits you're short, or a window titled You need more credits (Free) or You're out of credits (Pro) with a Top up credits button.
- Tools with a set price reserve that price when you click.
- Photoshoot reserves every photo in the set at once. If you can't cover the whole set, you'll see how many credits you're short, and nothing is charged.
- Enhance listing images checks the whole batch up front, then charges each image separately.
- Carousels reserve the slides and caption first. The photos are reserved once the words are written.
- Listing walkthrough quotes the price on the Make the video button and reserves every shot at once. Reading your photos with Build the walkthrough is free until you make the video.
- Viral formats shows the length and price under Make the video.
- Agent speaking charges in two steps. Generate audio reserves an estimate, then settles on the length of the finished voiceover. Each take then shows what it costs to film. Pressing Generate audio again with the same script, voice and photo reuses your take at no charge. Read it again always makes, and charges for, a new take.
Every Regenerate, Try again or change request is a new run with a new charge.
When credits come back
When a run fails or comes back empty, these tools return its credits automatically:
- Create avatar, Photo studio, Viral images, Background changer and Virtual staging
- Enhance listing images and Photoshoot, one image or photo at a time
- Carousels, for the words and for each photo that doesn't come back
- Caption writer, Reel script writer, Listing description, Email writer, Objection handler and Script personalizer
- Listing walkthrough, for each shot that doesn't render, or the whole video if no shots come back
- Viral formats and Agent speaking
- The composer, for each image or clip that fails
The Social comment generator only charges once your ideas arrive, so a failed run costs nothing. A photo that Virtual staging or Background changer turns down at the photo check costs nothing either. If a Listing walkthrough's shots are all made but the final video doesn't come together, re-stitching it costs nothing more.
Credits that come back are added to your purchased credits, so they don't expire.
Monthly allowance, purchased and welcome credits
- Monthly allowance (Pro): 1,000 credits each month. It refreshes once a month, and the credits panel shows the date. Unused allowance doesn't roll over.
- Purchased credits: packs of 300, 600 or 1,000 credits, on any plan. They never expire, and the price is shown at checkout. The credits panel calls these Top-up credits on Pro and Your credits on Free.
- Welcome credits: every new account gets 30 credits once. They're kept with your purchased credits, so they don't expire.
When you spend, your monthly allowance is used first. Purchased credits are only used once the allowance runs out.
Where to see what a run cost
- Open your Generations page at agentr.ee/workspace/generations.
- Find the run. Use the tabs, the type chips or the search box.
- Read the line under the title. A run that cost credits ends with the number of credits it used, for example · 15 credits.
There's no separate credit history page. For a Listing walkthrough, the full price is the one on the Make the video button. Viral formats also shows Charged on its result screen.
Tips for better results
- Check the number on the button before you click. It's the total for that run.
- In Agent speaking, listen to your voiceover before you film. The video costs far more per second than the audio.
- In Photoshoot and Listing walkthrough, fewer photos or shots cost less.
- Reuse a saved photoshoot in a carousel instead of making new photos.
- To buy 600 or 1,000 credits, use the AI Studio credits panel on the Subscription & billing page.
Common questions
Do my credits expire?
Purchased credits and welcome credits never expire. A Pro monthly allowance doesn't roll over: whatever is left is replaced by a fresh 1,000 credits on your next refresh date.
Are image and video tools cheaper on Pro?
No. They cost the same number of credits on both plans. On Pro, the monthly allowance pays for them first. Only the writing tools and the words in a carousel are included on Pro.
Why does a video tool say "Varies"?
Video is priced by the second, so the cost depends on what you make. The exact number shows before you start, on the format card or on the button.
How do I get more credits?
Buy a pack from the Subscription & billing page, or click Add credits on any tool. See How to check your AI credits and buy credit packs.
