How to answer objections with Objection handler

Objection handler turns what a prospect just said into a response you can say out loud. Every response follows three beats: Acknowledge, Permission, Pivot. Use it to prepare for prospecting calls, or when a text, email or DM needs an answer.

Before you start

You need the prospect's exact words, such as "I already have an agent" or "we're going to wait until spring". Each response costs:

Each run (write, Regenerate or Ask for a change)1 credit0 credits
Limit30 responses per hour30 responses per hour

The hour starts with your first response and resets all at once. The counter shows how many responses you have left this hour and when it resets. If you are on the Free plan and have no credits left, the page shows "You need credits to run this" with an Add credits button.

How to handle an objection

  1. Open AI Studio at agentr.ee/workspace/studio, choose Write, then choose Objection handler.
  2. Under "What did they say?", type their words, not a summary.
  3. Under "Who are you talking to?", pick the prospect type, such as Expired listing, FSBO or Past client.
  4. Under "How are you answering?", pick Phone, Text, Email, DM or In person.
  5. Under "Where in the conversation?", pick the moment, such as Prospecting call or At the appointment.
  6. Under "What do you want out of it?", pick your goal, such as Book the appointment.
  7. Open Add context to add their name, neighborhood, days on market or other details. This step is optional.
  8. Under "Your voice", click Teach my voice if you want the response to sound like you. This step is optional.
  9. Click Handle this objection.

What you get

Under "Your response", a badge names the type of pivot used. Hover over it for a short explanation. Then you see:

  • Acknowledge, Permission question and Pivot question, in the order you say them
  • If they push back, for what to say next
  • Avoid, for what not to say
  • A Subject line, when you picked Email

If what they said isn't really an objection, such as grief, money trouble or a request to stop calling, the box reads "Don't run the play". It gives you something to say, then tells you to let them go.

To adjust the result, type a request in Ask for a change, such as "shorter, less formal", and click Apply. Click Regenerate for a new version, or New objection to start again.

Tips for better results

  • Use their exact wording. The response is built on it.
  • "Who are you talking to?" matters most. An expired seller and an FSBO need opposite openings.
  • The channel sets the length. A phone line and an email don't sound the same.
  • Add your writing samples once, and every writing tool uses them. See How to teach AI your writing and speaking voice.
  • Read the response before you use it. Make sure it's accurate and sounds like something you would say.

Common questions

Where do I find a response I wrote earlier?

The tool has no history list. Open the Generations page, choose the Copy chip, and click the objection response card. It shows the three beats, "If they push back" and "Avoid", with Copy and Download .txt.

What happens if it fails?

You see a "That didn't work" message. Your credit comes back automatically, and the response does not count toward your hourly limit. Try again from the tool.

Can I use it on the Free plan?

Yes. Free agents pay 1 credit per response. On Pro, it costs no credits. Both plans share the same limit of 30 responses per hour.
