How to write social media captions with AI

Caption writer turns one line about your post into a ready-to-post caption. Each network gets its own format, and only the calls to action that actually work there. Use it for carousels, Reels, just-listed and just-sold posts, or any post that needs words under it.

Before you start

You need a short description of the post, such as "reel: walkthrough of the new listing on Maple St". Each caption costs:

Each run (write, Regenerate or Ask for a change)1 credit0 credits
Limit15 captions per 24 hours15 captions per 24 hours

The 24-hour window starts with your first caption and resets all at once. The counter under the form shows how many captions you have left and when the limit resets. If you are on the Free plan and have no credits left, the page shows "You need credits to run this" with an Add credits button.

How to write a caption

  1. Open AI Studio at agentr.ee/workspace/studio, choose Create content, then choose Caption writer.
  2. Under "What's the post about?", describe the post in a line or two.
  3. Under "Where are you posting?", pick the network: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads or X.
  4. Under "Who's it for?", pick your audience, such as first-time buyers or locals in the area.
  5. Under "What should they do next?", pick a call to action. If you choose one that uses a keyword, type it in the Keyword field.
  6. Under "Your voice", click Teach my voice if you want the caption to sound like you. This step is optional.
  7. Click Write my caption.
  8. When "Your caption" appears, check the character count and click Copy.

To adjust the result, type a request in Ask for a change, such as "punchier hook, shorter", and click Apply. It keeps the topic, voice and call to action and changes only what you ask. Click Regenerate for a new version, or Start over to begin again.

Tips for better results

  • Be specific about the post. "Just closed for the Andersons" gives the writer more to work with than "closing post".
  • Keyword calls to action ("Comment a keyword", "DM a keyword") are offered only on Instagram and Facebook. Use one word, such as GUIDE, that people will comment or DM to trigger your automation.
  • "Link in bio" is offered only on Instagram and TikTok.
  • The writer aims for each network's length, such as 280 characters for X and 500 for Threads. Check the character count before you post.
  • Add your writing samples once, and every writing tool uses them. Caption writer leans most on your social caption sample. See How to teach AI your writing and speaking voice.
  • Read every caption before you post it, and check any numbers, names or claims against the facts.

Common questions

Can I use Caption writer on the Free plan?

Yes. Free agents pay 1 credit per caption. On Pro, it costs no credits. Both plans share the same limit of 15 captions per 24 hours.

Where do I find a caption I wrote earlier?

The tool has no history list. Open the Generations page, choose the Copy chip, and click the caption card. From there you can click Copy or Download .txt.

What happens if it fails?

You see a "That didn't work" message. Your credit comes back automatically, and the caption does not count toward your limit. Try again from the tool.

Why can't I pick the call to action I want?

The list changes with the network. Only calls to action that work on the network you picked are shown.
