How to add an email subscribe form to your website

The Email subscribe block adds a simple signup box to your website: a headline, an email field and a short privacy line. When a visitor enters their email, it's saved as a lead and you get an alert. Use it to collect emails from people who aren't ready to call you yet.

Before you start

  • The Email subscribe block is a Pro block.
  • You can add it once per website. It isn't available on property pages.
  • The form asks for an email address only. You can't add name or phone fields.
  • Agentr.ee doesn't send newsletters or emails to your subscribers. It collects the email address and alerts you. Sending anything afterwards is up to you, from your own email or email tool.

How to add the Email subscribe block

  1. In the sidebar, click Your website.
  2. At the bottom of your sections, click Add section.
  3. Click Email subscribe. It has a Pro badge.
  4. The block is added to your list of sections. Drag it to where you want it on the page.

How to edit the block

  1. Click the pencil icon on the Email subscribe block.
  2. Write the Accent text, the small line above the headline (up to 30 characters).
  3. Write the Headline (up to 120 characters).
  4. Write the Privacy footer, the small print under the field (up to 160 characters).
  5. Write the Success message visitors see after they subscribe (up to 160 characters).
  6. Click the check mark button to save. Changes also save as you edit.

How to publish it

  1. Click Publish website, or Publish changes if your website is already live.
  2. Open your website and check the block.

Your edits stay in the editor until you publish. The subscribe button doesn't work in the editor preview, so test it on your live site.

What happens when someone subscribes

The visitor types their email and clicks the arrow button. Your success message shows for a few seconds under the field.

On your side, the email is saved as a lead in My leads under Lead gen, with a "Submitted a form" activity. If the same email subscribes again, the existing lead is updated instead of a new one being added. You also get an alert with the email address. By default it goes to your account email, or to the email or Zapier connection you chose under Settings, Leads, Leads collection.

Tips

  • Change the default text. It mentions a newsletter and a first email. Only promise what you'll really send.
  • Offer something specific, like "New listings in Austin, every Friday" or "Monthly market update".
  • Read the default Privacy footer and edit it so it says what you'll do with the email.
  • Always fill in the Success message, so visitors know it worked.
  • Put the block near the end of your page, after people have learned about you.
  • Want more than an email? Use a lead page or the lead capture popup, which let you add more fields.

Free vs Pro

On Free, clicking the Email subscribe tile takes you to the Pro upgrade page. If your plan goes back to Free, the block is hidden from your live website and shows Subscribe to Pro to display this block in the editor.

Common questions

Does Agentr.ee send newsletters to my subscribers?

No. The block only collects email addresses and alerts you. To send a newsletter, use your own email or email marketing tool.

Can I add the block to a property page?

No. It's only available on your main website, and you can add it there once.

How do I get my subscribers into my email tool?

Each signup is a lead in My leads, and you get an alert for each one. On Pro, you can send your leads to Zapier and connect it to your email tool.
