When you edit blocks or your Intro, Agentr.ee saves the changes to a draft. Your visitors keep seeing the last version you published until you click Publish. Use this article when you've finished editing and want your page to go live.
How to preview and publish on a computer
- In the sidebar, click Your website.
- Make your edits in the block list.
- Above the phone preview, click Preview changes to see your draft full screen.
- Click the X to close the preview and return to the editor.
- Click Publish website the first time, or Publish changes after that. The button shows Publishing... while it works.
The first time you publish, a window says Your website is live! and shows your link. Click Copy link to copy it, or Close. After that, each publish shows the message Changes published.
How to publish on a phone or tablet
- Open Your website and tap Edit.
- Make your edits.
- Tap Preview in the bar at the top to check your draft.
- Tap Publish.
On smaller screens the button always says Publish. Tap it once and wait for the confirmation.
What Publish updates
Publish copies your draft blocks, their order and your Intro, including its icon links, to your live site. Some changes don't wait for Publish. These go live as soon as you save them:
- Colors, fonts and other settings on Customize, once you click Save changes.
- A new template. The design switches right away, but the template's starter headline and intro image go to your draft. Publish to show them.
- Your SEO title and description.
The lead capture popup in Settings has its own Publish button, separate from your website.
Tips
- Always click Preview changes before you publish. The preview shows your page the way visitors will see it, including anything your plan hides.
- The editor doesn't mark unpublished changes. If you're not sure your last edits are live, click Publish changes again.
- Until you publish for the first time, visitors to your link see a placeholder page instead of your website.
- Once you're live, share your link or connect your own domain.
Free vs Pro
Both plans can publish. On the Free plan, your live site shows the first 10 blocks (Dividers don't count) and hides Pro blocks. They're still saved and published. Visitors just don't see them.
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Publish your website | Yes | Yes |
| Blocks shown on your live site | The first 10 (Dividers don't count) | All your blocks |
| Pro blocks shown | No | Yes |
Common questions
I changed my colors but didn't publish. Why is my site different?
Customize settings go live the moment you save them. Only blocks and the Intro wait for Publish.
I switched templates and my site looks half updated. Why?
The new design is live right away, but the template's intro text and image are in your draft. Click Publish changes to finish the switch.
Why is a block missing after I published?
On the Free plan, only the first 10 blocks show and Pro blocks are hidden. Check the preview, which shows the same thing.
