Your template sets the overall look of your website: layout, fonts and colors. You can browse every template, filter them by style and open a full live preview before you commit. This article shows how to browse the gallery and how to tell which templates need a Pro plan.
How to open the template gallery
- In the sidebar, click Customize.
- In the Customize template panel, click Change template. You can also click Try a different template on your dashboard.
- The Try a new template page opens. At the top is your current template, with an Active badge.
- Click Customize on that card to go back to editing it, or View live site to see your published website.
If you haven't picked a template yet, the page is called Choose your starting point instead. Picking your first template is covered in Creating account.
How to filter and preview templates
- Scroll down to the Premium collection grid.
- Click Categories to open the filter.
- Tick one or more categories. You'll see templates that match any of the categories you ticked. The button shows how many you've picked, for example Categories (2).
- To see everything again, click All templates.
- Scroll down to load more. The grid adds 12 templates at a time and shows Loading more templates... while it works.
- Hover over a template, or tap its image on a phone or tablet, to see its name and buttons.
- Click Live preview to open the template full screen. When you close the preview, you're back on the same page with your filters still set.
Your current template has a black ring around it in the grid, and its button reads Keep.
How to tell which templates are Pro
- Look for the PRO badge with a lightning bolt on a template card. You see it if you're on the Free plan.
- Hover over or tap a Pro template. Instead of Choose, you'll see Upgrade to Pro.
- Click Upgrade to Pro if you'd like to use that design. It takes you to the Pro plans page.
On a Pro plan, every template other than your current one shows Choose. Clicking Choose asks whether to switch your preferences or keep them. That step is explained in Customizing template.
Tips
- Use Live preview freely. Previewing a template doesn't change your website.
- Combine categories to widen your search. Ticking more categories shows more templates, not fewer.
- Your filters and your place in the grid are kept in the page address, so you can bookmark a filtered view and come back to it.
- Switching templates changes the design of your live site right away. If you switch preferences, the new template's starter headline and intro image go to your editor first, so click Publish changes when you're happy with them.

On the Free plan, your live website always uses the basic template. If a Pro plan ends, your site goes back to the basic template. See Understanding plans and pricing on Agentr.ee for everything else Pro includes.
Common questions
What happens to my current look when I switch?
When you click Choose, a Template preferences window asks what to do. Switch preferences (recommended) overwrites your template and intro section customizations with the new template's. Keep preferences keeps yours. See Customizing template for the details.
Can I try a Pro template before upgrading?
Yes. Every template, including Pro ones, has a Live preview button. You can preview as many as you like on any plan.
What if I see an error when choosing a template?
If you see "An error occurred while setting the template. Please try again or contact support if the issue persists.", try again. If it keeps happening, email support@agentr.ee.
Can I change my template later?
Yes, as often as you like. Go back to Customize and click Change template.
