Your SEO title and description are what Google shows for your website in search results. The same title and description also appear when someone shares your link in a text or on social media. Set them once in Settings, and update them whenever your focus changes.
Before you start
- SEO settings are free on every plan. You don't need Pro.
- Publish your website first. Until it's published, visitors and search engines only see a placeholder page. See How to publish your website and see your changes live.
How to set your SEO title and description
- In the sidebar, click Settings. It opens on the SEO tab. On your phone, open the menu, tap Settings, and pick SEO from the tab dropdown.
- In Title tag, type the title you want people to see in search results. You can use up to 100 characters.
- In Description, type one or two sentences about you and your business. You can use up to 160 characters.
- Click Save.
- Look for Settings saved. next to the button.
Your new title and description go live right away. You don't need to publish your website again.
Changed your mind before saving? Click Cancel to go back to your saved text. If you see You have some unsaved changes., you still need to click Save.
How your share image is chosen
There's no separate setting for the image that shows in link previews. Agentr.ee picks it for you, in this order:
- Your profile photo, if you have one.
- If there's no profile photo, the image in the intro section of your published website.
- If there's neither, a default Agentr.ee image.
To change the share image, update your profile photo. If you rely on the intro image, publish your website after you change it, because link previews use the published version. For help with photos and the intro section, see Customizing template.
Which of your links shows in search
Your website works on several free links, such as agentr.ee/username, luxr.bio/username and username.sellsreal.estate. Search engines are told to show only one of them:
- Your custom domain, if you've connected one and it's live.
- Otherwise, the default link you picked in Settings under Domains.
- Otherwise, agentr.ee/username.
Your other links keep working when you share them. They're just kept out of search results, so Google doesn't see the same page several times. To pick your main link, see How to choose your free link: agentr.ee, luxr.bio or sellsreal.estate.
Tips for better results
- Fill in both fields. If you leave one empty, Agentr.ee shows a general default text, which says less about your business.
- Put your name, your role and your market in the title, for example your city and "Real Estate Agent".
- Write the description for a person, not a robot. Say who you help and what they can do on your site.
- Use a clear, friendly headshot as your profile photo. It becomes the image people see when you share your link.
- Keep the same wording across your social profiles, so people recognize you everywhere.
Common questions
Is SEO a Pro feature?
No. The SEO tab works the same on the Free and Pro plans.
Why doesn't Google show my new title yet?
Search engines update their results on their own schedule. Your changes are live on your website right away, but it can take a while before Google shows them.
I see "must not be greater than" when I save. What does that mean?
Your text is too long. Keep the Title tag to 100 characters and the Description to 160 characters, then click Save again.
Do my lead pages and quizzes use these settings?
Lead pages, quizzes and listicles each have their own SEO settings card inside their editor. The settings on this tab are for your main website.
